well, I don't know about you, but I've had a great weekend!! and it feels like I haven't been to work in about a week, which is always a nice feeling.
so, thursday night I decided to sit up and mock
notwelshman on chris' journal, because it was fun. and geoff wasn't paying attention, which helps. I think I finally went to sleep at 4am ish, but I couldn't be arsed to go to bed so I just brought my blanket through and kipped on the sofa. (it was about time I tested them for snoozing criteria..) very comfy they are too...
friday, I took my first ever trip on the bus to manchester, so that I could pick up
notwelshman. I figured it would be easier for me to have to work out where to get off the bus at that end, because at least manchester is kinda obvious, than for him to work out which bit was reddish.. however, mum is now seriously worried about my mental stability, after I sent her a series of text messages about my journey!! and not even because she was replying to me either.. it was very much a one way conversation.. but I was so excited! I found.. a blockbuster, kfc and a bingo hall all next to each other.. another bingo hall, a cinema, another bingo hall.. and.. check this.. the lancashire eccles cake factory! I was so impressed. I also found lots of scabby looking places and decided I definitely chose the right town to live in, because 2 mins down the road and it's suddenly very skanky..
came home, sorted my hair out.. which, I didn't take a picture of, but it would have looked something like this although with a bit more of a curl at the end..
..made a brew, and then we headed out to see muse. why I bothered sorting my hair out I don't know, because it was raining when we got to the other end, and when we got off the tram there was a huge crowd of people outside the door to the arena.. so we decided to go for a drink.. how hard is it to find a pub??? we kinda guessed that in a plce like that it wouldn't matter which way you turned, there would be one kinda right next to the place! there was when we went to see garbage, the queue went right by it!! we found a nice place though and sat outside under an umbrella in the rain. then by the time we got back we didn't really need to queue.
felt really really really old. there were so many young geeky looking people it was scary. I kept having to remind
notwelshman that no, he couldn't try and pull the prepubescent lesbians. that turned out to be a bad trick though when we discovered we have the same taste in women. oops. in fact, there were many boundaries crossed in some of the conversations. luckily, while I drank not enough to make me fall over, I did drink enough to make me forget conversations.
geoff took this
which I think shows you why I don't hang out with him too often.
the support bank were rubbish. well and truely. it was the noisettes, and basically this woman wearing a tiny pair of shorts, and a huge feather thing, and screaming a lot. at first I thought it was a guy in drag, and it kinda made sense.. then we worked out it really was a woman and that was totally wrong. luckily, there was a guy in front of us with the biggest pointiest chin I have ever seen.. and also a guy who looked just like napoleon dynamite. so that kept us amused for a while.
muse came on and were fabulous! I can't really say much more than that.. they played some new stuff and some old stuff, and we jumped around like idiots for quite some time.. it was great! jaki also sent me a text saying we're going to see placebo so that would be cool.. we didn't actually see her there though as they were in the seated bit somewhere and we were too busy being idiots.
then it was off home.. only we started off looking for a pub, only to find our nice one was closing.. so we carried on walking.. and walking.. and walking some more, until we eventually got back to piccadilly, found a subway and bought food, and got on the bus home :) by which time, my hair was all curly again..

mum and dad came round on saturday, they hadn't seen geoff in ages, so that was nice. and then geoff went home at 2ish. I'm going to assume he got there ok seeing as he hasn't told me but no policemen have called either.
and then on to today, well that's easy. I've done bugger all. I haven't washed, I haven't dressed (don't get me wrong, I am clothed, but in my bed outfit, pj bottoms and garbage t-shirt), and I've barely moved, except to find food. I've watched committed, office space, but I'm a cheerleader, the corpse bride, and most of ghost (I missed the first 30 mins..), and I've nearly finished my cross stitch. so it's been fun.
I think I will go to bed now. all this laziness is tiring me out :)
I will leave you with this picture because it's adorable.. I've been sorting out my pics on here today, and I'm going to have this one printed properly and get it framed to remind me of my baby :)
